  About us . . .‘Alex Monroe’ was established in 1987, when Alex set up a little studio in South London to design and make jewellery. Twenty years on, the demand for Alex’s jewellery is worldwide and ever increasing. Now running a fully fledged, but small and friendly company, Alex remains true to his roots, all of the jewellery is made by hand in London, and the company prides itself on offering a personal service. Working seasonally, Alex produces two collections of jewellery a year, which are sold in exclusive stores all over the world. Alongside this, Alex is also busy with commissions, working directly with clients to capture their dream Wedding or Engagement ring in 18ct Gold or Platinum. Somewhere in between, Alex finds time to work on a variety of Television and Film projects, which over the years have ranged from EastEnders to Inspector Linley and Love Actually. Although Alex has worked for twenty years within the fashion industry, he has never been one to follow trends. Instead he has created his own distinct design signature of delicately detailed and pretty jewellery that is and will remain, timeless. 'The most important thing is to maintain quality at all times. Although I am interested in fashion I hope that I am using a design language that defies time' Sometimes glamorous, sometimes cute, but always feminine, Alex Monroe jewellery is made to the highest standard and has worldwide appeal. The diversity of Alex’s popularity can be seen through his celebrity clients, from Britney Spears, to Kate Moss and Corrine Bailey Rae, Cher to Martine McCutcheon.

The simple beauty of nature is always inspiring to Alex, and his love for wildlife and the great outdoors is apparent throughout his collections. Whether his inspiration comes from the hedgerows of Suffolk, hills of Italy or the mountains of Pakistan, there is always a certain sense of English-ness to be found in Alex’s work.
