It’s Christmas time!

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Wow! Christmas has come on us so quickly again. We have been MAD busy in the workshop, with all the girls working sooo hard and staying late trying to get all those late orders posted. They all did brilliantly, and are now probably slumped on a sofa  enjoying a well deserved rest.

As for me, we had our lovely carol do outside our house on Monday. It really kicks Christmas off for us all. The Salvation Army head quarters is near us, so they come along and play for everyone, and all the neighbours come, and we sing carols. Denise makes a huge pot of mulled wine, and I cook hot dogs. Here we are outside our house singing along.

And today I took the kids ice skating at Somerset House (another family tradition). At least I didn’t fall over this time!

Tomorrow is Christmas day, we are 12 for lunch so I’ve been preparing food this afternoon. But now it’s time for a drink!

Happy Christmas!

An Update from Mayo

Monday, December 15th, 2008

We had a lovely time at the Christmas Open Studio last weekend!! Many artists were selling original articles at their work spaces in the whole 3 yards.

It was a great success with a lovely Christmas atmosphere.

Here is our studio ‘9a’. I love this antiquy door.

It started from 6 at Friday.
Little lights look nice!! These make me so happy everyday.

Our brand new table was suitable to show our jewellery!!

One of my favorite pieces.

Christmas♪♪ Christmas♪♪

Unfortunately… no!! Fortunately, I didn’t have any time to take some pictures after it started.
We all are so happy. Thank you soooo much!!!

We are also doing a sale at St Mary’s Church in Primrose Hill at 13th December.
Please come and enjoy the time with us.

Bye

‘Trunk Show’ at Liberty - an Update from Emma

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Well, how exciting - our ‘Trunk Show’ at Liberty was a huge success!

November was ‘Jewellery Month’ at Liberty, with different designers visiting the store each weekend. Apparently, our event was by far the most successful of the whole month, so we are really really chuffed.

We made lots of one-off pieces especially for the trunk show, which was the first time we’d had one here in the UK, having tested the water earlier this year in Japan.

Arriving in Carnaby Street on a cold wintry morning, these giant snowmen started to make me feel a bit Christmassy!

As I’m normally in the office, I really enjoyed selling jewellery directly to our customers, and everyone was so lovely.Lots of Alex Monroe fans came especially to visit us, but we were so busy I think we must have gained a few new ones too!

Here is our display in the handbag room:

And a customer looking at the jewellery . . .

Liberty is such a gorgeous shop, and perfect for our jewellery - it just seems to fit in perfectly. Look at these Umbrellas, with Birds, Leaves and Flowers, they could have been made especially to compliment Alex Monroe Jewellery!

And I couldn’t resist having a little look around the shop myself . . .

Here are a couple of my favourite things!
(Sigh….!)

Alex popped up to see how we were getting on, and brought two of his daughters, Connie and Libby.
Here they are enjoying afternoon tea!

So we would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who made the event such a success.
Bye for Now!
