The trouble with doing all these trunk shows (which we love) is that the girls won’t let me post a new blog because they want to use it for plugging the events. But EC One was last night so I’ve been given the OK. So, what news? I’ll start with our trunk show last night at EC One in Westbourne Grove, which was a great success.
One of my favorite pieces sold in the first minute, and it was super busy all night. Everyone at EC One did such a great Job, the display was lovely and snack and drinks were fab (yum). The shows runs on for another couple of weeks so don’t worry if you missed it. Check it out here.
I had a meeting yesterday with the people who will be constructing our New Studios, KLH. It’s all getting very exciting. We’ll keep you updated but as things stand we’re trying to build a fab new 5 story HQ in London Bridge, with a shop! So I spend half my time in meetings with Architects and engineers. It’s too exciting for words so I have to keep pinching myself to make sure it’s real!
We had great fun making a necklace for gorgeous actress Lesley Sharp, she was presenting an award at the Oliviers and had this fab Vivienne Westwood dress which needed a special necklace. We did this asymmetric layered necklace with a big smokey quartz briolette.
While the Oliviers were Oliviering I was out of town at a friend’s Private view. Mark Francis had his opening at the Abbot Hall gallery in Kendall (Lake District), so I offed on the train up north. Great exhibition, then on for a meal at Blackwell in Bowness-on-windamere, then on to the Motor boat club at Bowness for a few late night whiskeys. A big breakfast and a walk in the rain soon saw me right again.
By the way, we had our first lunch outside the other day. Please let this mean Spring is finally here!!!
And lastly but not leastly, I’ll be banging on about this as time goes on…. I’m going to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats with a few friends to raise money for research into blindness. Here’s our JustGiving page if anyone feels generous. Plenty more about this very soon. Thanks!
Bye for now!
Alex
