Everyone loves our Bumblebee, and we do too!

Since it’s debut at the end of 2007, our Bee Necklace has gone on to become our most popular piece, and is now somewhat iconic and is signature of the Alex Monroe brand.

In other news, Alex has readjusted to life back on his feet after two weeks on his bicycle, and is in the workshop as I type making new pieces…….  We have got lots of exciting projects on the go at the moment, so as always, watch this space for news!

We are constantly sending out Jewellery at the moment, and have new stockists in: Aberdeen, Eindhoven, Glasgow, Liege, Munich, Paris and Waterford - amongst others!  We try and keep the stockists page of the site as up to date as possible, so don’t forget to check for your nearest store selling Alex Monroe!  Overseas customers just need to click on the little globe.

We have to confess that our Trunk Show page has been looking a little bit sad over the last couple of weeks - we just couldn’t keep up with demand for the Fruity pieces - but I am now very excited to say that we are going TROPICAL!! Check out this little beauty……

It’s been a very exciting couple of days here at Alex Monroe HQ……

As you all know, Alex has been cycling from Land’s End to John O Groats, truly an epic journey, and on Wednesday he finished! It’s a massive achievement, and we’re all very proud of him.

Last night was the UK Jewellery Awards, which myself and Susie.L were lucky enough to attend - Alex managed to make it back from Scotland just in time for the nominations.  We were shortlisted for two awards, which is a pretty big honor in itself, E-Tailer of the Year, and Designer of the Year…..

Unfortunately we didn’t win the ‘Designer’ category, we had very stiff competition and it went to the amazing Shaun Leane, but….we are over the moon to have won E-Tailer of the Year!

All of us here have such an input into different aspects of running our website, and we all love it, so it’s a real boost to have won this category.

As usual life at AM HQ is non-stop!  Alex is currently pedaling away on his epic voyage from Land’s End to John O’Groats whilst Emma is taking a well deserved break in sunny Spain…..

But I don’t mind because this weekend I will be heading to the Seaside myself!!!

Our next fabulous Trunk Show Event will be hitting Silverado’s gorgeous Flagship Store in the heart of Brighton this Saturday 10th July!!!

As our studio is a bit out of the way, we love it when we have shopping events and get the chance to meet our lovely customers.  So thank you to everyone who came along to our pop-up shop at Penhaligon’s on Tuesday, we all had a great day!

We had lots of great support from like-minded companies which really made the day complete.  We of course love Penhaligon’s who kindly let us use their consultation room for the shop, and by the end of the day we were all smelling beautiful and fully converted from wearing ‘designer’ fragrances.

We really wanted to create an ideal shopping experience, and Matt and Marc from Planet of the Grapes gave us some lovely fizz for everyone to sip as they browsed. We also gave a goodie bag with every purchase, which contained some little treats for the way home - Burt’s Chips and Frü Puds.

Yesterday we took it in turns to whizz off to Little 15 in Cullum Street to help out Jutta with her launch of the collection, but it was too busy to take any pics!

Susie is going to be up bright and early tomorrow to visit Silverado’s new Lewes shop for a Trunk Show - lots of lovely one-offs as usual, and Silverado will also have the ‘Peacock & the Crow’ in stock.  We will be back down at their Brighton store on Saturday the 10th of July.

We are looking forward to Alex’s return from Japan to hear all about what he’s been up to, but in the mean time, look who we’ve spotted wearing AM recently!

Wow - we are soooo busy at the moment…..!

Alex is off to Japan on Sunday, so we have all been helping him prepare for his trip.  He will be visiting clients and doing Trunk Shows in HP Bijoux in Shinjuku, Goldie in Shibuya, and Goldie in Osaka - very exciting for our customers all the way in Japan!

But back here in London……

Tuesday the 8th of June marks our very special launch of ‘The Peacock and the Crow’ collection, as part of London Jewellery Week.

Tuesday 8th June - 'Peacock & the Crow' Pop-Up Shop!

We are having a one day pop-up shop in the lovely Covent Garden Penhaligon’s store, 41 Wellington Street.

Join us there from 11am -7pm for your first chance to purchase this exciting new collection - plus we also be selling Alex Monroe ‘Classics’ too.

There will be some lovely fizz to sip as you shop supplied by the amazing Planet of the Grapes, and everyone will receive a goodie bag upon purchase,  containing treats from Penhaligon’s, Frü Puds and Burts Chips - plus a 20% off voucher for your next alexmonroe.com order!

For anyone who can’t make it on Tuesday, don’t worry as we will be at Little 15 for the second ‘Peacock & the Crow’ event, on Thursday the 10th of June.  Little 15 can be found at 15 Cullum Street, EC3M 7JJ.

The Alex Monroe gang will be calling in at this event too, which kicks off with drinks at Midday and runs until 8pm.  Little 15 are offering 20% off to their Select Card holders, check their website for details.

We were really pleased when Silverado told us about their new shop in Lewes - they’ve been trying to buy a property there for ages, but it looks well worth the wait!

So…..Susie will be heading down on Saturday the 12th of June for a Trunk Show!  As usual there will be lots of one-offs, plus a raffle prize, and yes, they will have a delivery of ‘Peacock and the Crow’ too!

On Saturday the 10th of July we will be back down in Sussex to visit Silverado’s Brighton store with a Trunk Show - lots of dates for your diaries!

So there is a LOT of jewellery being made at the moment, lots of parcels to pack, emails to answer…..I need a lie down just thinking about it!

But it’s all going to be lots of fun so come and say hello!

I’m off to visit Bloomsbury in Bristol this Thursday, the 6th of May, for our first West Country Trunk Show!

All the gang at Bloomsbury are very excited, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the selection of pieces we are taking - there are lots of extra-pretty stone set pieces that are especially gorgeous!

The event is running all day, from 10-8pm, so plenty of opportunity to come and say hello and bag yourself a one-off Alex Monroe piece.  Bloomsbury will also be fully stocked with Feathers, Bees and the like - and are also running a competition to win a Bumblebee, so if you haven’t got one already pop in and see if you’re in luck!

Tomorrow we will be at Ede and Ravenscroft, 92 Chancery Lane, from 4-8pm with a brand new selection of one-off Trunk Show pieces.  The shop is being decorated as I type by Hannah and her team, and it’s sounding gorgeous, with lots of lovely flowers, plus Champagne refreshments!

Alex will be popping by, and myself and Rakhi will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have on the jewellery or the company…….

We seem to be Trunk Show crazy at the moment, with pieces being snapped up from our on-line selection in minutes! (Or at least hours!)

I hope everyone had a nice Easter, and didn’t over-indulge too much….we’re always trying to ‘be good’ here at AMHQ, but we always seem to have a huge pile of chocolate / biscuits / cake so it’s tricky!

We love InStyle Magazine anyway, as they are always featuring our pieces, but especially so this month, as they are running a ‘Golden Ticket’ giveaway with thousands of brilliant prizes, including a trip to Greece, a Chloe bag, bed and breakfast at a Malmaison Hotel, and of course some Alex Monroe goodies!

Our Trunk Show concept seems to be going from strength to strength, and on the 22nd of this month we are off to Madeleine Hamilton in Chancery Lane, then I’ll be making my way to Bloomsbury in Bristol on the 6th of May for our first West Country event! Watch this space for further details nearer the time.

Net-A-Porter has been in the news a lot recently, with big shares being sold, and we are so proud that we are part of their business. They have a great capsule collection of Alex Monroe, and do amazing product and model shots of the pieces, for those of you who want to see our pieces being worn before you purchase.
