Hi All,
Well, Christmas certainly is just around the corner. We’re slightly manic at AMHQ. Not helped by all this trouble with cyber-attacks on Visa and Mastercard, but we’re pressing on. Don’t worry too much if you have a problem using your card. I think the system is just slowed down, so maybe leave it a while and try again later.
All of our Trunk Shows went brilliantly, and the 12 days of Christmas has been such fun! All 8 of the ‘Maids-a-Milking’ style sold out in under 40 minutes!
I had a nice message from someone who sadly missed out, so instead she’s using the image as her screen-saver!
And oh yes, here’s a little reminder of the last of our Christmas sales; Primrose Hill Designer Sale, Saturday 11th December, St Mary the Virgin Church, Elsworthy Road, Primrose Hill. London NW3. 10 ’till 6.
Anyway, here’s my top idea for a Christmas pressie. If you like our cute little bee, how about giving the gift of membership for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust? Kate Humble (Kate Yumble more like!!) loves them too, and even demi-god David Attenborough supports them. Very easy to gift, and you get this fab poster, which I for one will be pinning on the wall of my studio as soon as it arrives!

How cool is that? I don’t know, maybe it’s not for everyone but I think it’s a really nice thing to do for Christmas. Go on, you know you love ‘em!
Alex

Part 5 – as there just seems to be too much news this month!
This week has been pretty busy, with our auction for the Burt’s Bees Ring going live on Monday lunchtime. All proceeds go straight to the BBKA – so get bidding!
Alex has also been working on a very exclusive collaboration with on-line luxury jewellery brand Astley Clarke, which also launched this week.

Forget Me Not Earrings in Silver and Gold Plate Mix.
It’s a very pretty capsule collection in Silver and Gold-Plate mix with Diamonds, and also features three show-stopping pieces in 18ct gold. Check it out here!
Very excitingly, we spotted girl of the moment, Emma Watson sporting our Bumblebee Necklace as she hit New York on the Harry Potter tour……

Emma's stunning new image...

.....with a little help from our Rosa Stud Earrings!
Emma is also a fan of our Rosa Damasca Stud Earrings, favouring the super-cool Black Ruthenium finish that we developed exclusively for Net-A-Porter……
Meanwhile, we started our run of Trunk Shows, visiting Jutta at Little 15 where we also did some filming….watch this space for the results…..! (*Cringe!*)
Next up, it’s Silverado in Brighton tomorrow morning – hope to see you there!

We’ve got big news that we’re all really excited about here at Alex Monroe HQ.

Several of Alex Monroe’s 18ct Goldcrest collections are now available in store at Liberty. The Forest Jewels and Eyebright Ring collections, plus a very special new 18ct Baby Bumblebee Necklace are there for you to go see, and try on!

18ct Baby Bumblebee Necklace
Liberty are the first brick and mortar shop to sell the Goldcrest pieces, which have previously been available only by appointment at our studio and online at the Alex Monroe website. The pieces maintain Alex’s signature style, with the added touch of luxury you get from 18ct Gold, and brilliant colour, thanks to the stunning stones used in each piece.

Forest Jewels
The Forest Jewels are dominated by beautiful trillion checkerboard cut stones, set in delicate twig rings.

Eyebright Rings
Whilst the stunning Eyebright Rings look great worn individually, and really make an impression when a few are stacked together, mixing the colourful stones for added effect.
Finally, and perhaps most excitingly, there’s the new 18ct Gold Baby Bumblebee Necklace. The addition of the pink sapphire stone shown in the photo, adds a colourful highlight to this Alex Monroe classic, reworked in amazing 18ct Gold. And if the pink sapphire isn’t for you, there are a selection of other coloured stones available. You really need to see this to understand just how beautiful it is!

18ct Baby Bumblebee Necklace
So pop along to Liberty to have a look at these 18ct Gold pieces and maybe try a few on. With Christmas now visible on the horizon, it’s not too early to start thinking about that extra special gift, for a loved one, or for yourself!

Everyone loves our Bumblebee, and we do too!
Since it’s debut at the end of 2007, our Bee Necklace has gone on to become our most popular piece, and is now somewhat iconic and is signature of the Alex Monroe brand.
We are nearly approaching selling our 1000th Bee Necklace on-line, so to celebrate, we are offering the 1000th Classic Bumblebee (in Silver or Gold-Plate) for FREE!!
It’s a game of chance, but we reckon we’ll sell the 1000th Bee at the end of this month…..

The lovely Sophie modelling our Bee!
You need to actually purchase a Necklace, and we will notify you afterwards, and then refund your purchase.

We are also running a competition with the National Magazine Company, as part of their ’30 Days of Fashion and Beauty’ event, which details a September full of events, shows, offers and giveaways…..
By entering on-line, you can win a gift voucher for alexmonroe.com for £125
Lots of excitement, so good luck!!

As usual life at AM HQ is non-stop! Alex is currently pedaling away on his epic voyage from Land’s End to John O’Groats whilst Emma is taking a well deserved break in sunny Spain…..
But I don’t mind because this weekend I will be heading to the Seaside myself!!!
Our next fabulous Trunk Show Event will be hitting Silverado’s gorgeous Flagship Store in the heart of Brighton this Saturday 10th July!!!

The event will not only allow you to have a sneeky peek at our latest collection ‘The Peacock and The Crow’ but most importantly a chance to grab yourselves an exciting ‘one-off’ piece from our exclusive Trunk Show Collection.
Here is a little teaser of some of the pieces we will be taking along……….

Nautical Lovelies

Ooh Argh Captain!
Remember, each Trunk Show piece is a complete ‘one-off’ so when they are gone, they’re gone!!
And if there is something that catches your eye, you not only get the chance to win a cute Gold Baby Bee Necklace but walk away with a fantastic goody bag full of treats!!
Come along to 31 Bond Street, Brighton. I will be there helping out so please come and join me for a glass of champagne and a delicious cupcake or two……!
Look forward to seeing you there!

We’ve all been so busy recently there hasn’t been much time to update you on where you can get you hands on the jewellery, so here we go!
Excitingly, Alex Monroe pieces are going to be much more readily available around the UK thanks to John Lewis….we have launched with everyone’s favourite department store in four locations, which means that our jewellery is now available in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Cheadle and Bluewater.
John Lewis are updating their image, and it looks like they’re really going to town….check out the Bluewater jewellery department below:

John Lewis, Bluewater.
Of course, we still love selling to cute little boutiques too, fans in the West Country should head to Qetty Bang Bang, who recently opened in Tetbury – I can’t wait to visit when I’m back visiting my Mum & Dad!
Another new stockist is The Hambledon Gallery in Blandford, Dorset. We already sell to The Hambledon in Winchester, but the Gallery is the ‘Mother’ shop – both look like they have a gorgeous range of products – and I’m not just talking about Alex Monroe!!
But just to update you, other deliveries we’ve made in the last few weeks are, in London: Charles Fish, EcOne, Matches and Mitsukoshi.
And around the UK: Jason Charles, Pearl & Queenie and Ruby & Tallulah.
Overseas, we’ve covered quite a few continents: Masscob in Spain….Cord Three, Lisette and Tomorrowland in Japan….Herta and Kit of Elsinore in Sweden….Syrup, Quincy and mico-mico.com in Australia….and, last but not least Creme in Bahrain.
For customers in desperate need of a Bumblebee, head to Fenwick or Fortnum & Mason in London, Silverado in Brighton and Chapmans in Durham. Better be quick though, we’ve only sent them in the last couple of days and they never last long!!
For further details on any of the shops mentioned, just check our ‘Stockists’ page.
Bye for now, Emma x

Just like this year’s weather (and let’s face it, every year’s weather!) summertime at Alex Monroe is unpredictable…..
We’ve been madly busy in what is usually a quiet time of year – but we can’t complain!
Loads of deliveries have gone out, but I haven’t had chance to post an update….we have lots of new stockists all over the world….In Australia we’ve just delivered to Turner & Lane and Ruiz & Mackell Wong, and of course, we’ve sent lots of lovely pieces to HP France in Japan……Check our stockists page, as it should now be fully updated!
In the last week or so we’ve sent stock to Enibas in Cork, Bowns in Cambridge, Amelie in Berkhamsted, Fenwick in Newcastle and Silverado in Brighton. And new stockist Mrs Jones in Holt.
Not forgetting Liberty, Sefton and Fortnum & Mason in London.

Palm House Lockets, opening to reveal an Orchid.
You can also now check out Alex’s gorgeous Palm House Lockets at Kew Gardens, which he designed exclusively for them…..
More exciting news is that we keep spotting Sienna Miller wearing Alex Monroe!! She’s on a worldwide tour promoting GI Joe and here she is in New York wearing our Bumblebee and Clover Necklaces, plus I think I spy a couple of Rings too!

Sienna in Alex Monroe!
Finally, I wanted to tell you about another great blog…..Bargainista Fashionista
It’s by the lovely Susie who works at Elle Magazine, and she writes about all of her fabulous fashion bargains – I’m very jealous of some, infact most of them! Check it out……there’s lots of great pics too.
Think that’s it for now…..don’t forget to let us know your news too!

Everyone seems to be going Bee-crazy again……maybe it’s something to do with a certain Miss Dahl wearing one on the cover of this months Red…..?
It’s looking set to be a gorgeous weekend, but if you do decide to hit the shops, here’s who we’ve sent deliveries to in the last 2 weeks:
In London, new stockist Madeleine Hamilton, and the lovely Indian Summer and Sisters & Daughters.
Around the UK, check out Polkadot in Exeter and Taunton, Fenwick in Canterbury and Silverado in Brighton – who will have the Clover collection for those of you who have been asking for it!
Also, Whistles stores around the country should now have the Baby Bumblebee back in stock.
A little further away, I’ve just sent some gorgeous new pieces to Fields in Dublin, then there’s Konk in Berlin, Sara Gies in Antwerp, Kim & Maki in New York and all the way down under, Husk and Bessie Head!!
It’s amazing how far our jewellery travels – we had a lovely email from a lady called Lori in the U.S who writes a jewellery blog. Her son brought her a souvenir back from Japan……an Alex Monroe necklace!!
Check out the story here: http://www.jewelhistory.com/
Have a great weekend! Emma x
