Phew!
What a year it’s been! 2007 has marked our 20th Anniversary.
That’s right, it all started 20 years ago in a little studio in Clapham. Time flies when you’re having fun!
So, Alex started the year with a HUGE party in Japan. The British Embassy in Tokyo opened it’s doors for Alex to welcome friends, buyers, press (and a smattering of celebrities) at a swish evening event.
We launched our fabulous new feather collection, which has received so much Press attention.
After a busy summer, we announced 20 new stockists nationwide, from Scotland and Northern Ireland to Guernsey!
But the fun didn’t stop there. This Autumn, Alex joined forces with Liberty in London to launch a fantastic retrospective collection called Alex Monroe 20:20 at Liberty (click here for more info). We hosted a super press event, and Alex was in store to talk about his new designs.
Also unveiled at Liberty were Alex’s new ‘Original Sin’, and ‘Dawn Chorus’ collections.
We got some fabulous press on it all, including a great write up in Vogue!
London. Paris and Tokyo fashion shows were a great success
We now have over 70 stockists in the UK alone! Of course, Japan is still a huge market for us, and we’re now selling right across Asia, from China to Taiwan, Korea and across Australia. And you can buy our designs throughout Europe. Then again, there’s always our on-line shop……..
So here’s looking forward to the next 20 years!
