Back in August Emma and I were lucky enough to jet across the Atlantic and for the impressive NY NOW International Gift Fair in New York City

This is our first time exhibiting at this huge show so we were incredibly excited to see how everyone would respond to our collections!

Emma and I on our first day - all set and ready!

The response to the display was astounding, we were in a huge hall… a maze of exhibitors that attend every season and everyone loved and complimented our stand and decoration.

To celebrate the success of our first day and with such beautiful weather we took a lovely stroll down the The High Line Park - I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who has not been and is planning a trip…  It’s 1 mile of disused railway that has been transformed into public gardens - it’s free and just stunning especially first thing in the morning with a hot cup of coffee!

We then hit the ultra cool Standard Hotel for a cheeky cocktail and we were lucky enough to squeeze into Le Bain, the rooftop bar and witnessed a lovely sunset over the Hudson River … too dreamy!

Another highlight of our visit was the FOOD!!! We had some delicious meals…. Traditional American… Mexican …. Italian…. you name it, we ate it!

But we always make a special effort to visit B Bar and Grill … especially for brunch!  Emma introduced me to this place a few years ago and we always make time to go and fill our tummy’s!

I recommend the Avocado Toast or Buttermilk Pancakes, oh and the coffee is great too !

Other amazing eateries we can highly recommend are Jacks Wife Frieda in Soho and Westville in Hudson is a great recommendation if you need something a little healthier!

The sweet potato fries at Westville were divine...  Emma agrees ;-)

If you visit in the summer months be sure to visit the Frying Pan , it's a huge boat near Chelsea Piers that serves buckets of beer and delicious burgers.

*Gulp* enough food talk, back to business! We also had some great meeting with the Press on our visit.

CR Fashion Book was founded by Carine Roitfeld - a beautiful magazine.  The girls especially loved the new Haberdashery collection.

We also were lucky enough to be called in by W Magazine at Conde Nast Towers, which was super exciting!

Well, you can’t go to New York and not squeeze in a little bit of shopping can you!?

We ventured into Anthropologie, a big favourite of the AM team and look what we spotted… Alex’s exclusive handles!

There are three to choose from and can be found online here.

Other stores we absolutely LOVE and always make time to visit are:

Love Adorned, a beautiful lifestyle shop, ABC Carpet and Home , full of treasures and our favourite Catbird in Brooklyn which has the most gorgeous jewels and trinkets.

Oh and without doubt, I never leave New York with an addition to my ever growing Converse collection.

Well the show was a success and we are already excited about taking Alex Monroe back across the water next season!

Bye for now
