How would you spend your perfect day off?
Lying in the sun by the sea with a picnic and friends however if it is in Ireland it might be rain

Best ever movie?
The Shawshank redemption is a favourite. I love twists

Best ever book?
I loved to Kill a Mockingbird

Favourite food?
Pizza. It is so broad and you can have so many
different toppings. Am I cheating?

Birds or Bees?
Bees all the way

Favourite getaway?
Island getaways, the Greek Islands or Ibiza. Vitamin Sea is key

Best Biscuit?
Chocolate digestives. Simple pleasures

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Peter Pan, to never get old at heart

About Your Shop


How would you describe your shop?
Our shop is a Dublin landmark. It combines old heritage with a modern twist within our Fashion Room. We are the jeweler to all generations.

What’s special about your store?
It is now on the 5th generation of family owners and has so much history and heritage.

Are you easy to find?
We are on Dublin’s main shopping street, Grafton Street.

What’s the best thing about your location?
The constant buzz, music and life in the area.

Any other attractions in your area?
We are very central and as mentioned on the main shopping street. Trinity College is across the road, Christchurch Cathedral is a 10 minute walk and the Guinness Storehouse is a 20 minute walk.

What attracted you to Alex Monroe Jewellery?
I absolutely love Alex Monroe’s quirkiness and how each piece can tell a story.

Do you have a favorite Alex Monroe piece?
I have the ‘Hooray’ piece however I do have my eye on the classic Bee. You can’t beat a classic as you can tell from my digestive comment ;-)

Do you have any shining members of staff?
Aoife, Fashion Room Manager is a shining star. She is always full of life, bubbly, helpful and ready for anything. She is a pleasure to work with and be around.

Any tips for customers buying Alex Monroe?
Go with the piece that draws you or means something to you. They are definitely pieces that are conversation starters.

Do you have any happy stories about any Alex Monroe customers you’ve had?
There is definitely something for everyone. We had some American tourists in who bought the chicken as they had a chicken farm. It is nice to hear people’s stories behind why they are buying something.
