With wedding season in full swing, that means only one thing..... Gifts!  To help guide you in the art of wedding gift buying, a few members of team Alex Monroe have compiled a list of suggestions for gifts perfect for everyone from the Bride, to the Groom,  and of course the soon-to-be mother-in-law.

Emma - Press/PR Manager

'I have chosen the 18ct solid gold Alphabet as my suggestion for a gift to the bride from the groom and family or friends. The initial of her first name could be from her friends/family with the groom gifting his new bride with the initial of her new surname. A winner and a safe keep for life'.

Tom - E-Commerce Manager

'I know for the most part the wedding is all about the dress, the ring, the flowers, the seating arrangement etc but the groom too can accessorise on the big day and I think these quirky teapot cufflinks would be the perfect treat. Who doesn't love a good brew?'.

Susie Lee - Bespoke Manager

'The mother of the bride usually has as much input into the wedding preparations as the bride. I would suggest as a thank you gift, the lovely ribbon loop brooch from our Floral Fayre collection. Plus it's always good to start married life in the good books of the mother-in-law!'.

Daisy - Workshop

'As a gift to the bride, for her honeymoon, I would go for the honeybee with sapphire necklace. It's sweet!'.

Suzy A - Visual Merchandiser

'The little horseshoe necklace makes for the perfect bridesmaid gift. It's small, dainty and of course it's a lucky charm'

Jutta - Boutique Manager

I often get male customers who are looking at selecting a placeholder engagement ring they can propose with but ultimately would like for their partner and future fiancé to select the design of her engagement ring herself or indeed have it made to her own wishes in our bespoke department.

Without wanting to spoil the surprise of the impending proposal a placeholder ring is ideal in this case. In this case I tend to suggest either our Teeny Tiny Diamond Ring or our Diamond Twig Ring which are both from our Goldcrest Fine Jewellery collection and made from solid 18ct solid gold with a 1.75mm diamond and retail at £265. This ring is of fantastic quality and can be worn a lifetime.

A placeholder engagement ring can in future be worn on the opposite hand to the engagement ring and treasured for its sentimental value.

We offer as a customer service that the first re-sizing of a new ring is done free of charge so if any male customers are unsure about rings sizes there is no need to worry.

Millie - Wholesale admin

'As a reminder of the big day, I'd recommend the 'Hooray' (you are now married) disk with diamond necklace for the new bride'.

Hanna - Dispatch Manager

'The 'Fat Hen' would make a great thank you gift for the maid of honour, for organising the hen-do! It's a bit tongue in cheek and humourous'.

Rosie - Production Manager

'For something new and blue for the bride to wear, I would suggest either the 'Bluebell Drop' earrings' if your style is more dramatic and really want your accessories to stand out or if your style is more subtle and you want something to blend in with your wedding outfit and other accessories then I would go for the 'Forget me Knot' stud earrings'.

Emily - Wholesale Assistant

'For the bride, I have chosen the 'Fine Pearl Bud Cluster' bracelet, as pearls are elegant and timeless. The perfect accessory for any bride looking for a classic piece of jewellery for her big day'.
