Create a Ring Stack
Alex Monroe rings are splendid for stacking! Whether pre-planned or gradually added over time, be sure to have fun with your ring collection - we love stacking up, creating, and combining. Take a look at our guide to stacking rings and experiment with your most loved Alex Monroe pieces.
Stacking Rings
As the name suggests, some rings are simply made to be stacked!
We always design our rings so that they can be worn alone, but they work equally well built into a stack with other pieces from our collection. Mix themes or metals to create your own unique composition.
Our super-fine 18ct gold rings are my personal favourites for stacking, and a more affordable way of buying into our fine jewellery offering. As with all of our pieces, they have unique, intricate details - so are interesting enough to wear on their own, but also happily stack with other pieces. I love to mix mine with other rings from my jewellery box, to create a really personal look.

Signet Rings
Signet rings have a fascinating history, dating back to Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. In more recent times, signet rings were worn only by men and were symbolic of rank, family heritage and social position - being passed down through generations of families.
Alex Monroe signet rings offer a more modern twist on this classic style of ring, and although we love a ‘pinky’ ring - they can be worn on any finger you choose!
Birthstone Signet Rings
Our gemstone signet rings are a popular way of marking your birthstone, showcasing a stone with personal significance or simply your favourite colour!
Statement Rings
Our larger rings have been designed to wear solo - often embodying the particular theme of a collection.
To make an even bigger statement, you can of course combine them with rings or stacks on other fingers, and create a look reflective of your own personal style.
Our Top Five Tips!
-
Ring stacks have been a big trend for many years now, but how you do it is totally up to you! Create a subtle statement, tell a story, mismatch metals or simply stack them up on your finger when you can’t decide which to wear!
-
If knowing where to start feels tricky, our biggest tip is simply to start with a ring that you love and build up your stack over time.
-
Rings with a larger central focus are perhaps best worn on their own, to really let the design shine. But if you want to try a more maximalist look, we suggest pairing it with a stack of more delicate rings on a different finger.
-
Be aware that ‘Pinky’ rings or those worn on your little finger will encounter a lot more knocks and scrapes than any of your other rings - often without you realising! If this might be a concern, ensure you opt for an ‘inner’ finger with our polished styles.
-
Delicate rings are a great way of mixing, or introducing a different colour metal to your ring stack. We often suggest this for people who have white gold wedding and engagement rings but want to start wearing yellow gold - or vice versa. Our mixed metal styles are also a great way of bridging the gap between white and yellow metals.

18ct Gold Rings
Our daintier rings are of course perfect for stacking, and a more affordable place to start when it comes to solid gold jewellery.
Many of our 18ct Gold rings are made as wedding or engagement rings, but for a more luxurious take on stacking, a smaller diamond ring will add an irresistible sparkle! And our heavier bands look incredible stacked up in contrasting widths and textures.
