Real twigs from Scots pine, apple, and quince trees were cast in silver in search of the perfect “twiggy” texture. The Scots pine offered an almost scaly, repeated pattern that catches the light beautifully in metal, making it the ideal choice for our hoop earrings. Many sizes were trialled, but only the most balanced and wearable made it into the final collection.

The apple branch brought a warm, organic character to our cuff design, complete with finely detailed ends that feel true to the original twig. We also introduced a new style to the range: a sculptural ear cuff that hooks gently over the middle of the ear—no piercing required—offering a bold yet naturalistic alternative to traditional earrings.

The starting point for the collection came when Alex embarked on a project researching and visiting endangered natural habitats in the UK throughout the Spring of 2024. After a number of trips to his chosen locations, Alex studied the plants, flowers and leaves unique to each habitat in great detail, through quick sketches and detailed drawings.

Heathland is a distinctive and species-rich habitat found in parts of the UK, particularly in southern England, Wales, and parts of Scotland. Characterised by low, shrub-like vegetation such as heather, gorse, and broom, heathlands provide vital ecosystems for a wide range of wildlife. However, heathlands are increasingly endangered due to various environmental pressures.
