Alex has revisited designs from his 2015 collection for the Royal Collections Trust to create a fun yet regal charm bracelet to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
This limited edition bracelet features five charms; an ornate Rose Crest inspired by decorative coving in Buckingham Palace, a Royal Carriage in miniature splendour, a very British celebratory Pint of Beer, a quintessentially Alex Monroe Bumblebee, and finishing off with - of course, a Diamond set Crown!
The bracelet includes an official commemorative hallmark depicting the profile of King Charles III against an oval background punched onto the tag of the bracelet. Read more about the commemorative hallmark here.
"A few years ago The Palace asked me to design a collection of jewellery for the Royal Collections.Of course I needed an ‘Access All Areas' pass and had a wonderful few weeks wandering around the palace and gardens sketching away to my heart’s content. London is full of these hidden treasures! I sketched the bees in their hives on a little island in the lake and took inspiration from all the marvellous details in the interior of the palace. I meandered in the park and snooped around the stables and carriage houses. I made all sorts of fun pieces to celebrate; Royal Carriages, Crowns and of course... Corgis!
I have fond memories of creating this special collection, so it was lovely to revisit it for HM The King Charles’s Coronation” - Alex Monroe
